about us

We are CAP Crusaders #14405, an FTC robotics team started last year by a group of cadets in the Civil Air Patrol Brooklyn Tech Cadet Squadron. As members of the Civil Air Patrol, we support our local communities with search and rescue, disaster response, youth development and promotion of aerospace engineering. However, we wanted to do something more. We wanted to make history and promote STEM. Thus, we partnered up with the American Legion Dorie Miller Post #213, a veteran organization, and formed the first CAP robotics team.

Based in Park Slope, Brooklyn, we work tirelessly from kickoff to our final competition in order to continuously improve and adapt our robot to the challenges of the game. In our rookie year, 2018, we had a great first season, with the highlight being winning 1st place in the qualifying rounds of the NYC SuperQualifier competition and nearly getting to the World Championships. This proves  that we have what it takes as a team to shoot for nationals this year. Go 14405!
